History

It was a dream of all members to have a Rotary hall from the early days of this club. Initially the club meetings were conducted at Tagore Col-lege owned by Rtn.PR N.Ramachandran Pillai. With liberal contributions by all members we purchased 20 cents of Land in Karunagappally on 6-12-1993 during President ship of Rtn. Mathew.M. Karinjappally. The project has become a reality during the President ship of Rtn. Dr. K.Parameswaran Pillai in 1995. The Rotary community Centre named Kuttappan Memorial Hall in memory of our Charter President Late Mr. N.Kuttappan f was inaugurated on 4-4-1995.

The Rotary Community Centre was registered as a Charitable Society under Travancore- Cochin Literary, Scientific and Charitable Societies Registra¬tion act 1955 (Act XIII of 1955 ) on 23rd of November 1993. The Managing Committee entrusted to sing the agreement comprised of following Rotarians. 1. Dr. K. Parameswaran Pillai 2. Dr.V.Rajan . 3, K.Dinamani 4. Dr. B.Abdul Salam 5. K.Mohankumar 6. V.G.Koshy 7. RBabuji The Hall is now utilized by the club for service activities in addition to club meetings. Our Geriatric Clinic and Computer training and all medical camps are being conducted at pur Rotary Community Centre. An office block was built to conduct computer training and for record keeping during the Presidentship of Rtn. Dr. S. Ajith in 2006.
